最近仕入れた掛軸で一番気に入っているのがこちらです。江戸時代から続く関流砲術の図柄です。掛軸ではなかなか見ない珍しい図柄でこれまで一度も見たことがありません。構え方、力の入り方がとてもリアルで実際に鉄砲を打っていた時代の凄みのようなものを感じます。描き込みもなかなか繊細丁寧で良い図柄です。滅多に出会えない図柄ですし、店に飾ったり何かしらトレードマークのような形で活用できたらと考えています。
This is my favorite piece among the hanging scrolls I’ve recently acquired. It depicts the Seki-ryu school of gunnery, a tradition dating back to the Edo period. It’s a rare motif that you don’t often see on hanging scrolls—I’ve never come across one like it before. The way the figure holds the gun and applies force is incredibly realistic, and I can sense the sheer intensity of the era when these guns were actually being fired. The brushwork is also quite delicate and meticulous, making it a truly fine piece. Since this is a motif you rarely encounter, I’m thinking of displaying it in the shop or using it as some sort of trademark.
